Many thanks to Anna-Marie Gibson for this great photo taken at Duxford Flying Legends on 11.07.09       http://planemadanna.blogspot.com

Here are two great shots of Spitfire XV111 TP298 flying over Denver Colorado in January 1994. Taken by John Breit (The Owner) via Peter Arnold . Craig Charleston had rebuilt this machine, initially in the UK but completed in the US. It is one of a batch recovered from India in the 1970’s. Unfortunately it was flown into a mountain in Montana just a few months later en-route to its first ‘out of town’ airshow. Peter Arnold had organised and produced the 152 sqn. Paint scheme details and the artwork for the panther, At that time we knew no better and painted the panther on both sides. With the demise of the TP298 and lack of photographic exposure of the scheme in the media the BBMF utilised the artwork for the repaint PS915.

Many Thanks to John Breit and Peter Arnold Collection
